Lucia Milla-deangelo
Licensed independent clinical social worker/psychotherapist specializing in treating people ages 18 yrs old and up, college-aged students, working professionals and adults coping with loss, grief and bereavement, difficulties adjusting to life changes, relationship issues, anxiety, stress depression and personal finance/money mindset/mental health intersection. I am a bilingual and bicultural English/Spanish speaking clinician who provides BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ affirming care. My focus is to provide trauma sensitive, culturally sensitive, strength-based, person-centered, holistic treatment modalities to help you achieve your goals. I use an integrative therapeutic approach that includes different treatment modalities such as mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy and ecotherapy. My approach to therapy is to partner with you to create a custom and individualized treatment plan. I received my undergraduate degree from Wellesley College in political science and completed my masters degree in clinical social work at Boston College with extensive training on end-of-life care and trauma work at the Veterans Administration Boston Healthcare System and Boston Public Schools. In addition, I have received advanced training on CBT, trauma work and loss, bereavement and grief counseling. I work with individuals in a supportive, collaborative, warm and compassionate manner. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my young daughter and husband. We love nature walks and playground visits - anything that can help tire out a young child.
