Hello I am an experienced counselor with many years of individual counseling and marriage and family work. I hold a doctorate in Educational Psychology. I coordinated a program in community mental health for my county for six years. Currently I am working solely in private practice with a focus on my love of family and relationship work and trauma treatment. Counseling should be unique to each person's needs. Solutions to an individuals challenges are within them not outside them. This is the basis of my counseling practice. I have over 20 years experience in Family and Relationship Counseling. I practice in EMDR and Cognitive Behavioral Approaches to Trauma Treatment and Solution Focused Family Therapy. My focus though remains on recognizing personal growth for an individuals and their relationships.. I feel people should first take away what they find within them as their personal goals which may evolve through therapy. They should gain an increased sense of balance and self efficacy.
