Aislinn Baldi
I'm a licensed professional clinical counselor with a Master of Arts in Counseling, an academic concentration in Spiritual Formation (but only used at your request), and deep commitment to continuous learning. My professional background is in private practice, working mostly with adults 18-65 on a variety of concerns. I am developing a specialty and certification in Adult ADHD and have certifications treating Anxiety, Trauma, and military veterans and current service-members. I also have a special interest in working with betrayal trauma. My clinical training is supported by an interest in neuroscience and the belief that you are the expert in your life. My approach is holistic, considering how your mental health is impacted by every area of your life. Therapy with me could include a blend of education, building insight/understanding of yourself, expanding your coping/calming skills, developing a new approach to your thought life, cultivating a new relationship with yourself, working through the impacts of trauma, and creating strategies that work WITH your brain (ADHD). I draw from psychodynamic therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, cognitive processing therapy, Gottman method, Flash therapy, Self-Compassion, and Mindfulness approaches. Clients can expect to take away a sense of feeling seen, heard, and understood. I like to keep the environment relational, bringing my humanity while keeping the focus of your sessions on you. I prioritize empathy with curiosity, and will offer gentle challenging. I also adjust approaches based on what's working for you. Your therapy is individualized and tailored to you.
