If you are seeing this page, you have already taken the first brave steps in the journey of caring for your mental health. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who is currently practicing therapy in Oregon. I briefly lived in Austin, TX where I received my education from the University of Texas at Austin. In 2017 I returned to Oregon, where I was called back to the forests and rivers of PNW where I was born and raised. In my therapeutic practice, I have had the privilege of working with individuals across varying settings and in varying capacities, which have included: children, adults, couples, teens and family systems. Many of those I have worked with have and are currently experiencing acute and chronic trauma, history with substance use, complex PTSD, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, anxiety, personality disorders, chronic pain, complex attachment wounds, along with grief and loss. I have also worked with individuals experiencing shifts in their identities, belief systems, along with those navigating changes in their lives including careers, family role dynamics and/or ideologies. I also have experience with those who have experienced domestic violence, assault and/or abuse. I am trained in the use of SAFE attachment based EMDR and am able to incorporate this into our work together if it is meets your therapeutic needs. As a therapist, I believe each of my clients are the experts of their own lives. My sessions are a collaboration, using your strengths, experiences and goals to guide our work together. Vulnerability is both courageous and often uncomfortable. In our work together, my role will be to support, encourage and empower you to recognize your own wisdom. I will hold space for you without judgement, to support you in navigating the multitude of discomforts and barriers that often hinder us to show up authentically and fully in our lives. As a social worker I am trained to see how larger systems in our lives can directly impact our mental health. I will be an ally in validating your individual lived experiences. I am also an ally to those who identify as BIPOC and LGBTQA. I actively practice cultural humility and believe my role is to learn how to best support those in our community whose experiences are different from my own and/or whose differences have subjected them to increased vulnerabilities. I will collaboratively work with you to set attainable therapeutic goals that align with your mental health needs. We will work together witness and walk towards the areas that are often uncomfortable and vulnerable, in order to expand your window of tolerance and empower you to discover the coping tools you innately hold within yourself.
