I have been practicing clinically for over 20 years and have a background in both the medical field and multiple school settings. I specialize working with adolescents, college students, and working professionals. I also have a background in women's health issues and pregnancy loss. Currently, I treat anxiety, depression, assist with relationship challenges, manage stress, and cope with difficult life transitions. My approach to therapy is that my client and I are a team. I use evidence based strategies such as cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness techniques to help my client create goals. This can be in the form of solution focused goals or learning how to manage, and work through, a difficult life change. I offer a safe and supportive environment with an authentic and direct approach. With support, I empower my clients to take self-directed steps to work through challenges and achieve inner happiness. The therapeutic journey is different for every individual. Some clients it just takes a few sessions and for others therapy is a part of their on-going wellness plan.
