Amy Tierney is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma/PTSD, and life transitions. Whether you're struggling with prolonged grief due to the death of a loved one, insecurity in a relationship, addictions, low self-esteem, generalized anxiety, depressed mood, or feel stuck and unable to move forward, Amy is committed to partnering with you to unpack the relational origin of your symptoms. While Amy’s approach to treatment is grounded in psychoanalytic theory, she draws from a wide variety of treatment modalities based on individual client needs. Some of these modalities include Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Relational Therapy, Interpersonal Neurobiology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Interventions. Amy believes the therapeutic relationship is the single most important aspect in a patient's therapeutic process. She has a profound respect for, and commitment to, the development of a safe, nonjudgemental space where her clients find the freedom to heal.
