When people who are new to therapy ask me what it’s like, I say that while it’s not always comfortable, it is often an incredibly rich and powerful experience—even after only one session. That's because you and I will be digging in and at times, a lot will be “kicked up.” You will move toward a more grounded place and learn stronger coping skills. You will also strengthen your self-compassion – something we easily put to the side. Therapy can serve as an anchor as you move through the stickiness that life can bring. Also, we often underestimate how much relief we can experience simply being heard by someone objective. My background includes almost 15 years in the financial and corporate world before I shifted gears to become a therapist. A key part of my work includes helping folks navigate workplace dynamics and I have extensive experience working with First Responders in government and hospital settings. My approach is pragmatic, straight-forward and solution-focused. Folks have found that my background provides a unique and empowering perspective. Sometimes short-term therapy can be a good start or even enough at certain points in your life. Feel free to reach out so we can chat about how we might be a good fit. I am licensed in NY, NJ & CT.
