I want to commend you for taking this step towards therapy. Whether this is your first time, or whether you’ve been in therapy before, it took courage to get here. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and obtained my MSW in 2016 from the Hunter Silberman School of Social Work with specialization in Clinical Practice with individuals and families. I've been practicing for 8 years and have worked with a wonderful diversity of adults struggling with a range of life challenges and diagnoses. I am eclectic drawing from multiple sources to find treatment that's the best fit for my clients: I am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. DBT is an evidence-based treatment that helps bring awareness to our present day lives and teaches effective tools for managing emotions, impulsive behaviors, distorted thought patterns, and relationships. I also draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness, and more traditional psychodynamic modalities. The research shows that the most important indicator of healing in therapy is a trusting and safe relationship with your therapist. I provide this warmth and safety, and from this foundation of acceptance, I help to guide you in excavations of the past to bring light to patterns in the present that may no longer be serving you.
