I believe every person holds innate strength and capabilities to pursue acceptance, growth, change, and healing. In order to do this work effectively, I really believe the relationship between client and therapist is everything! My space is inviting, warm, and nurturing. I invite all my clients to be soft and kind with themselves in this space where hard work is done. You’ll find me sitting on my couch with my dog ready to hear and bear witness to your story. My area of focus surrounds anxiety, people pleasing, life transitions, depression, trauma, and nervous system regulation. Therapeutic approaches I draw from surround narrative therapy, mindfulness, CBT, motivational interviewing, attachment, family systems therapy, and sensory-motor arousal regulation treatment (SMART). I rely on curiosity to create space for the body and mind to collaborate in order to learn about the function and purpose to undesired belief, behavior, and/or reactions. I help clients find the meaning to their challenges and shift them away from conflict to connection, with themselves or others. My clients learn to reposition their automatic avoidance, judgment, rejection, or shame of an emotion, memory, or behavior and replace it with intentional curiosity, awareness, empathy. This offers the groundwork for where change and healing can happen.
