I am a Licensed Professional Counselor of 12 years. I am a mother, wife of a Combat Veteran and have a snuggly Maltese dog named Otis. I have a passion for spiritual and personal growth. I am a graduate from Columbia International University (CIU) in South Carolina with a Bachelors in Psychology, Bible and minor in Humanities as well as a Masters of Clinical Counseling from CIU. I have served in community mental health clinics with individuals who have severe and persistent mental illness such as Bipolar Disorder, Major Depression, Schizophrenia and Schizoaffective Disorder and Individuals with co-occurring disorders such as substance abuse and a mental illness. I have served in private Christian Counseling office and have worked in psychiatric hospital. I have served children and adolescents, individuals and marriages step closer to wholeness and recovery. I specialize in child and adolescent social skills and ADHD, building resilient children, Assessment and treatment of trauma, evidenced based personality treatments and management, and psychological effects of shame, life adjustment issues, parenting skills and illness management and recovery. I am committed to helping people face life's deeper and more difficult issues through biblical principles and spiritual guidance alongside traditional therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Illness Management and Recovery, Emotional Regulation, Mindfulness and essence of Attachment. a deeper understanding of their thoughts, feelings and behaviors, insight into the root causes of their issues, strategies to manage difficult emotions, improved coping mechanisms, enhanced self awareness, and the ability to build healthier relationships.
