Hello my name is Barbara and my Masters Degree is in Clinician Mental Health Counseling with 8 years experience and I am a practicing Licensed Professional Counselor in the state Colorado. My experience is with children, adolescents and adults. I have received specialized training in autism, adhd, learning disabilities, anxiety depression, trauma and relationship issues. I utilize an eclectic approach such as Client Centered, CBT and Holistic approaches. This takes into consideration the necessity when looking at the entire person as a whole. I also strive to create a climate of empathetic understanding fostering the ability to express your emotions free of of judgment. By providing an affirming experience, it promotes positive changes that are established through goals and treatment plans that reflect your desired outcome. When working with clients, I work to provide a safe space where each individual can feel seen, heard, and understood. I journey alongside individuals to help identify their strengths and weaknesses and to build a treatment plan and goals that will address the underlying issues they are going through as they navigate the healing processes.

To make our site free for consumers, Psych Hub receives fees from provider groups, networks, or individual providers to connect with potential clients who are a fit for their services. How do we determine which ones to display?

Rather than make specific provider recommendations, we present options and information so you can make an informed decision on what provider best fits your needs. Where we have multiple participating providers, we present multiple options (and where we don't, we prioritize adding more options to our site over time). We present providers whose capabilities, insurance coverage, availability and other attributes best match your stated needs. If many providers appear to equally meet your needs, we display a selection of them at random. Our decision on which participating providers to display is never impacted by the amount of fees we receive from them.

What causes us to remove providers from our site?

We require that providers meet all licensing requirements of states where they offer services. If a provider loses their license, they are removed from our site for that state or service. We also seek feedback from users on providers they find on our site. We investigate significant negative feedback and remove providers if we conclude that to be appropriate.
