There are so many challenges and pitfalls navigating relationships and parenting. Healthy communication is more important than ever to maintain healthy boundaries, advocating for yourself and your needs, as well as living a happy, fulfilled life. I can help support you as you face these challenges and overcome obstacles through therapy. My goal is to help my clients feel supported and secure while they are working on creating positive changes in their own lives. Adversity is a part of life, but that does not mean that we have to face it alone. I help individuals to work towards their goals while creating a healthy environment for them to do so. I work with children, adolescents, parents, and families as they practice improving their mental health. I enjoy working with children ages beginning at age 7, adolescents, and adults. As a LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist, it is important to me to help support individuals who are working to identify their most authentic self. By using the family systems approach I have a clear understanding that is one individual is experiencing difficult peer relationships, traumatic events and transitions, bullying or school stress then the entire family is affected. I work to help clients improve their communication with parents and their support system so that they receive the support necessary to thrive. experiencing depression, anxiety, anxiety related disorders, conflict in their relationships or who have experienced trauma. I have worked with individuals and families as a mental health professional for over 8 years. I have experience working at multiple levels of care with clients from all walks of life. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, anxiety related disorders such as OCD, ADHD, conflict in their relationships or who have experienced trauma. My background and experience have allowed me to focus on helping families who have a loved one coping with a mental illness. My approach to therapy is client centered and I work to provide a safe space so that individuals are able to make progress on sensitive topics. I approach therapy with warmth and understanding so that my clients feel comfortable dealing with difficult issues. I use a combination of narrative therapy, mindfulness, and cognitive behavior techniques while using a strengths based approach so that my clients can focus on how they are able to create change in their own lives.
