
Caitlyn Patey
Caitlyn Patey (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who completed her Master's of Social Work degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. Caitlyn has experience working with individual therapy, couples/marital therapy, and group therapy. Caitlyn has worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures, including but not limited to: college students, adults, couples, individuals diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia, and caregivers. Caitlyn works with adults ages 18 and older. Her areas of clinical experience include couples counseling, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, family of origin concerns, stress management, communication skills, coping skills, adjustment, life/role transitions, caregiving concerns with focus on Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia caregiving. Caitlyn works from a Cognitive Behavioral framework through Interpersonal and Feminist theory lenses. Caitlyn is an LGBTQIA+ affirming provider. Caitlyn's approaches therapy from a person-centered, strengths-based, and holistic orientation. She knows that engaging in therapy requires vulnerability and can be challenging, so she works to create a safe, collaborative, and affirming setting to allow for trust to build and therapeutic work to take place.
