Cherie Dortch is a Licensed Clinical Social Work Psychoanalyst and a certified Trauma Professional. She received a dual Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Sociology at CUNY Queens College in New York, where she graduated with honors. Cherie received her Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University. She continued her pursuit to further her professional knowledge and clinical expertise at the New York School for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis. Cherie utilizes an eclectic approach of psychodynamic theory and Cognitive Behavior Therapy with clients, helping them to understand their emotions and unconscious patterns of behavior, in order for clients to come to know themselves better as well as make inner change in order for them to make make healthier decisions. Clients should expect to fell more empowered, through obtaining more self-awareness and obtaining tools for healthier coping.

The care options presented consist of treatment providers that we have assessed to be quality providers across a range of services for mental health, substance use, relationships, and other well-being needs. What is the relationship between Psych Hub and these providers?

Do participating providers pay us?

To make our site free for consumers, Psych Hub receives fees from provider groups, networks, or individual providers to connect with potential clients who are a fit for their services. Some also purchase Psych Hub's educational content for practitioner training and client support. These fees enable us to operate our service, including screening and updating information on each provider.

How do we determine which ones to display?

Rather than make specific provider recommendations, we present options and information so you can make an informed decision on what provider best fits your needs. Where we have multiple participating providers, we present multiple options (and where we don't, we prioritize adding more options to our site over time). We present providers whose capabilities, insurance coverage, availability and other attributes best match your stated needs. If many providers appear to equally meet your needs, we display a selection of them at random. Our decision on which participating providers to display is never impacted by the amount of fees we receive from them.

What causes us to remove providers from our site?

We require that providers meet all licensing requirements of states where they offer services. If a provider loses their license, they are removed from our site for that state or service. We also seek feedback from users on providers they find on our site. We investigate significant negative feedback and remove providers if we conclude that to be appropriate.
