Hello, I'm Christopher, a therapist licensed in Ohio with over 25 years of experience working as a counselor. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working with a diverse client base, addressing a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, mood changes, relationship issues, divorce, parenting problems, career challenges, autism, and ADD/ADHD. I've also supported many individuals who have experienced separation from their families and those with a history of neglect, sexual abuse, physical trauma, and emotional abuse. My approach combines several therapeutic methods to best meet your needs. I utilize Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to challenge irrational thoughts and feelings, Experiential Therapy to engage cognition, physical movement, social interaction, emotional awareness, consciousness-raising discussions, and self-reflection, and Psychodynamic Therapy to explore how reactions to present-day circumstances may be influenced by past events. Additionally, I incorporate Rational-Emotive Therapy (ABC) to address the objective happening, belief, and emotional response to the belief, and Reality Therapy to focus on the 'here and now' with an emphasis on choice, responsibility, commitment, and willingness to change. I specialize in trauma, anger management, antisocial behavior, anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum support, adolescent and teen mental/behavioral health, depression, family relationships, grief/bereavement, life transitions, intimate/romantic relationships, sex/intimacy issues, stress, gender identity, LGBTQIA+ support, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and developmental disabilities.
