A Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, I've been working with individuals, couples, and families for over twenty years. Starting my career as a pastor serving in local churches, to traveling across the nation leading relationship seminars for our armed forces, to non-profit counseling agencies, and private group practice, I've had the privilege of encouraging, equipping, and empowering hurting people to find healing and hope. My approach is client-centered, non-judgemental, hopeful, and geared toward short-term therapy. My job is to work myself out of a job as quickly as possible by equipping the people I work with to become their own counselors, employing knowledge, strategies, and techniques learned in therapy that will serve them for the rest of their lives. I love what I do. Clients can expect to leave each session feeling heard, supported, and cared for. Additionally, they can expect to leave each and every session with homework and action steps that we have both agreed can help them move forward with their unique and specific challenge.

Rather than make specific provider recommendations, we present options and information so you can make an informed decision on what provider best fits your needs. Where we have multiple participating providers, we present multiple options (and where we don't, we prioritize adding more options to our site over time). We present providers whose capabilities, insurance coverage, availability and other attributes best match your stated needs. If many providers appear to equally meet your needs, we display a selection of them at random. Our decision on which participating providers to display is never impacted by the amount of fees we receive from them.

What causes us to remove providers from our site?

We require that providers meet all licensing requirements of states where they offer services. If a provider loses their license, they are removed from our site for that state or service. We also seek feedback from users on providers they find on our site. We investigate significant negative feedback and remove providers if we conclude that to be appropriate.
