My name is Dan Michaud. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and psychotherapist. I felt called to a career of helping others 35 years ago and have also spent the last 20 training and supervising other clinicians.  A bit about my approach to therapy I believe people are always generally doing the best they can, but most of what we do is unconscious and influenced by the parts of us that carry the hurt and loss from our past. I seek to uncover the truer Self in order to live a more intentional, joyful life.  What you can expect from every session is that it will be about what you want it to be. I am very much interested in your story, going where you want to go and focusing on the problems as you see them. My style is very relaxed and conversational. I believe we help others in caring relationships, not in "treatment".

Where we have multiple participating providers, we present multiple options (and where we don't, we prioritize adding more options to our site over time). We present providers whose capabilities, insurance coverage, availability and other attributes best match your stated needs. If many providers appear to equally meet your needs, we display a selection of them at random. Our decision on which participating providers to display is never impacted by the amount of fees we receive from them.

What is the relationship between Psych Hub and these providers?

The providers listed on our site are all independent entities from Psych Hub. We have a contractual relationship with each provider that governs the terms of their participation on the site, and in some cases, as mentioned above, their use of Psych Hub's educational content. What causes us to remove providers from our site?

We require that providers meet all licensing requirements of states where they offer services. If a provider loses their license, they are removed from our site for that state or service. We also seek feedback from users on providers they find on our site. We investigate significant negative feedback and remove providers if we conclude that to be appropriate.
