Hello and welcome to a safe space! I'm Danielle, a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to helping individuals manage life's stressors. When addressing these issues, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) as my primary therapeutic approaches. With over seven years of experience in the mental health field, including military and community mental health counseling, I am to work collaboratively with you to restore your sense of self and well-being. My therapy approach differs based on whether I'm and working with adolescents or adults and their specific symptoms. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is one of my main methods, and I've observed that individuals often experience positive changes as they learn how their thoughts influence their behaviors. This process is most effective when the client and I collaborate to identify and address the root cause of their issues. The first session is primarily about building rapport and establishing a strong therapeutic foundation, rather than diving straight into treatment. In our first session, we will focus on getting to know you and your story. My goal during these initial sessions is to gain a deeper understanding of your experiences and explore the factors contributing to your feelings or symptoms.
