Debra Bushong
I have spent my entire career working in both the research and clinical sectors of treatment for Psychotic disorders. I developed a passion for it in graduate school and was lucky to get my first job after graduation working directly in the field of Psychosis. I did that work for 20 years and loved every minute of it! Now in private practice, I am continuing my work and education regarding Psychosis and helping those with lived experience. When thinking about therapy, I try to approach it at the level of my client. I want to be educational about what they may be dealing with, while still maintaining a strong human connection. I use a very integrative approach which allows me to tailor therapy to the individual and their specific needs. I also love to interject humor and fun into therapy to keep it engaging. My hope is that people who work with me take away a sense of knowing that I truly care about what's best for them and helping them achieve their best selves. My work comes from a place of compassion, empathy, and understanding. There is no place for judgment in my therapy.
