I am from Louisiana but lived in Texas most of my adult life. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I have over twenty-five years experience in social services, education, counseling as a related service in Special Education Department, school counseling, and mental health services. I work in tele-health, making therapy accessible to all people through a HIPAA compliant private portal. I utilize various therapy approaches, including CBT, SFBT, mindfulness and wellness techniques to assist clients in reaching their overall goals. I look forward to working with you on your journey to mental health and wellness. Challenging life experiences can be hard to overcome. However, it is my belief, mental health and wellness begins with knowing your true self and being self aware. I am a facilitator in the journey of mental health, self-healing, and self-empowerment. I am an advocate of self-love and self-knowledge. Together, we will examine and address the thoughts, actions, and experiences that are causing feelings of being unwell.

How do we determine which ones to display?

Rather than make specific provider recommendations, we present options and information so you can make an informed decision on what provider best fits your needs. Where we have multiple participating providers, we present multiple options (and where we don't, we prioritize adding more options to our site over time). We present providers whose capabilities, insurance coverage, availability and other attributes best match your stated needs. If many providers appear to equally meet your needs, we display a selection of them at random. Our decision on which participating providers to display is never impacted by the amount of fees we receive from them.

What causes us to remove providers from our site?

We require that providers meet all licensing requirements of states where they offer services. If a provider loses their license, they are removed from our site for that state or service. We also seek feedback from users on providers they find on our site. We investigate significant negative feedback and remove providers if we conclude that to be appropriate.
