Hello and welcome, my name is Dr. Elda Stepp and I am a psychotherapist who's licensed in Texas and New Mexico. I provide a wide variety of approaches as a trauma informed therapist. I have specialties in grief counseling, EMDR trained, anger management certified, and forensic mental health evaluator. I have many years of experience in the mental health field both in crisis management, forensic fields, and community based. My approach to therapy includes goal oriented, client centered, empathetic, empowerment, and encouragement. The goals of therapy are client and clinician oriented. As a clinician, I do not make the goals without understanding my client's needs, wants, and best interest within therapy. It is client based oriented and not solely clinician oriented. I am not the expert of my clients' lives, my clients' are.

Where we have multiple participating providers, we present multiple options (and where we don't, we prioritize adding more options to our site over time). We present providers whose capabilities, insurance coverage, availability and other attributes best match your stated needs. If many providers appear to equally meet your needs, we display a selection of them at random. Our decision on which participating providers to display is never impacted by the amount of fees we receive from them.

What causes us to remove providers from our site?

We require that providers meet all licensing requirements of states where they offer services. If a provider loses their license, they are removed from our site for that state or service. We also seek feedback from users on providers they find on our site. We investigate significant negative feedback and remove providers if we conclude that to be appropriate.
