
Elijah Proge
My name is Elijah Proge, I am a young African American gay clinical therapist. I have been a substance use, HIV, children's, and court therapist. I have developed curriculum for states and social emotional learning content for 36,000 schools nation wide. I have helped various youth in several courts in Michigan get their record expunged. I started college at the age of 14, and since have attended 1 community college and 3 Universities. I have a BSSW and MSW degree. I am a fully licensed therapist and currently attend Wayne State University's School of Medicine Masters of Public Health program. I was trained at Wayne State University in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I have since earned several credentials such as CMHP, QIDP, QMHP, CAADC-DP, and QRTP. I utilize talk therapy, experiential therapy, and play therapy. I created a present-past-future therapy model which is emphasized on focusing on the now and why, exploring the past and focusing on the future. Clients can expect a healthier version of themselves upon receiving therapy with me. I am your biggest cheerleader with the sole purpose of providing a safe space for you. We will laugh, cry, and grow together.
