Ellis McComb, LICSW, LCSW is licensed in the state of Maryland and in the District of Columbia since 2019.I received my Masters in Social Work at Howard University in 2014. I have specialize degree in Direct Practice with a concentration in Mental Health. I have 11 years of work experience in the field. Over the years, I have with worked many populations in our local communities struggling with substance abuse, mental health, long term care for the geriatric population, transitioning of active duty service members/veterans into civilian life, and child welfare in the local community. Currently, I specialize in treatment of individuals and couples challenged with anxiety disorders, anger management, depression, grief, relationship stressors and stages of life adjustments including daily life and work stressors. My therapeutic approach to provide a safe, welcoming space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and challenges without judgement. I see therapy as a partnership, where we work together to find the best ways for you to understand yourself and move toward your goals. My approach is grounded in understanding the whole person - your experiences, strengths, and the unique ways you navigate the world. My therapeutic approach offer tools and support as you make choices that feel right for you. In our counseling sessions, my goal is to help you leave with something valuable each time whether that's clarity, new insights, or practical strategies for your life.
