My name is Emily Riley. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and completed my master's in counseling at Fordham University. I have a variety of experience helping others from working in special education, hospitals, non-profit clinic, and private practice. I take a holistic and person-centered approach to collaborate with my clients and provide treatment best suited to individual needs. I act as a guide to help clients grow, create a balance between all the aspects of self, emphasize strengths, and help clients make meaningful changes by increasing mindful awareness to promote thoughts and actions consistent with their values. Therapy should be a place where you feel totally accepted, safe, and supported. I create an environment where you can feel comfortable speaking freely without fear of judgment. I help clients learn skills to effectively deal with everyday problems, or help them overcome the struggles they have been dealing with for years. Having a greater understanding of yourself will allow you to feel more confident and at peace, so you can focus on what is important.

How do we determine which ones to display?

Rather than make specific provider recommendations, we present options and information so you can make an informed decision on what provider best fits your needs. Where we have multiple participating providers, we present multiple options (and where we don't, we prioritize adding more options to our site over time). We present providers whose capabilities, insurance coverage, availability and other attributes best match your stated needs. If many providers appear to equally meet your needs, we display a selection of them at random. Our decision on which participating providers to display is never impacted by the amount of fees we receive from them.

What is the relationship between Psych Hub and these providers?

The providers listed on our site are all independent entities from Psych Hub. We have a contractual relationship with each provider that governs the terms of their participation on the site, and in some cases, as mentioned above, their use of Psych Hub's educational content. There is no other affiliation between Psych Hub and the providers listed on our site.

What causes us to remove providers from our site?

We require that providers meet all licensing requirements of states where they offer services. If a provider loses their license, they are removed from our site for that state or service. We also seek feedback from users on providers they find on our site. We investigate significant negative feedback and remove providers if we conclude that to be appropriate.
