I am a psychotherapist in New York, providing individual therapy to adults from a humanistic and relational psychoanalytic perspective. I received my MSW from Columbia University, and did a two year training program in psychoanalytic therapy at Karen Horney Clinic in New York City. I hope you will allow me to help you bring your most authentic self into your life and relationships, nurture your internal resources, and develop new ways of being in the world that feel better to you. I work from a humanistic and relational psychoanalytic perspective, but I believe in tailoring therapy to fit you. My style is collaborative, warm, and inquisitive – I am deeply curious about your experience and do my best to create a space where you feel safe enough to explore. I often work with people struggling with relationship difficulties, anxiety, anger, depression, shame, attachment or identity issues, or trying to sort out the impact of painful experiences. I see therapy as a collaborative partnership where you can consider new perspectives and find healthier ways to manage your feelings and relationships. In a first session, I want to get to know you, and understand what you're experiencing in your life, so that we can work together on your goals.
