Evalie Horner is especially passionate about supporting artists and writers, trauma survivors, and the LGBTQ community. During the late 1990s, Evalie helped to pioneer C.U. Boulder's LGBTQ studies certificate, one of the country's first programs of this kind. She has several publications in the field of LGBTQ studies, including a book chapter on counseling bisexual clients. Evalie completed an MA in psychology at Phillips Institute and completing her PHD coursework at Pacifica University. Also a certified yoga teacher offering privates, she integrates mindfulness and body awareness. She takes to heart research demonstrating that the therapeutic relationship most strongly predicts growth. She is warm, respectful, and collaborative. She draws on the here and now of connections with her clients, believing that these relationships are what heal. How do we determine which ones to display?

Rather than make specific provider recommendations, we present options and information so you can make an informed decision on what provider best fits your needs. Where we have multiple participating providers, we present multiple options (and where we don't, we prioritize adding more options to our site over time). We present providers whose capabilities, insurance coverage, availability and other attributes best match your stated needs. If many providers appear to equally meet your needs, we display a selection of them at random. Our decision on which participating providers to display is never impacted by the amount of fees we receive from them.

What causes us to remove providers from our site?

We require that providers meet all licensing requirements of states where they offer services. If a provider loses their license, they are removed from our site for that state or service. We also seek feedback from users on providers they find on our site. We investigate significant negative feedback and remove providers if we conclude that to be appropriate.
