Hey, my name is Genny! I have a Masters in Counseling from Oakland University. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns: ADHD, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, & life changes. I have also helped many people who have experienced trauma and abuse. I am LGBTQ+ & Polyamory-informed therapist. I am a proactive therapist - homework & resources are provided after sessions. No current openings for couple or family counseling - individual only My counseling style is warm, engaging, proactive, and nonjudgmental. I believe in treating everyone with respect, dignity, and compassion. I customize our interactions, any resources, and therapy goals to match your needs and wants with therapy. I love empowering people to learn new skills and techniques that will help them long after therapy has ended. I look at the beginning of the therapy process as mental health triage - we work together as a team to put out any current "bleeding" to stabilize you as a whole before looking at the past and current experiences that aided in the need for therapeutic intervention at this time.
