Gina Lehr is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with extensive knowledge in human behavior, wellness, and mental health. She has experience in a variety of mental health settings such as hospitals, clinics, and private practice as a researcher and mental health counselor. This has afforded her the opportunity to provide psychoeducation on self-care, boundaries, and coping with negative thoughts. Gina approaches sessions with building a strong therapeutic relationship with clients to bring awareness and help clients dig deep to recognize their feelings, behaviors, and thoughts in a safe place. She reassures client’s of their strengths and capabilities to get through rough situations or changes. She may challenge client’s thoughts to help motivate and understand themselves. She has an open-mind towards each client’s unique issue, which may require integrative practices to fit them best. Through commitment to the therapeutic process, Gina trust clients as being an expert in knowing themselves best and their active participation in treatment can promote these changes. Her role is bringing guidance in their path to move forward. Client’s will feel more in control of their life, understand their internal/external pressures and how to cope or navigate difficult relationships, friends and family. Clients become advocates for themselves and build a stronger sense of self.
