Gina Sacino
I am an LCAT based in New York. I work with individuals seeking answers to hard questions. I graduated from Nazareth College in 2018 with an MS in Creative Arts Therapy: Art Therapy. I'm a demifluid, mixed-race, reclaimer. I love this work because it affords me the opportunity to help others come home to themselves. I never ask my clients to do something I haven’t also done myself. I recognize the delicate nature of the journey you are on and want to honor that in our work. I utilize intersectional & healing-centered, liberation-focused narrative therapy. I ask questions to find themes to gain context as the basis of the narrative. I channel creativity, honesty, and perspective. This work is collaborative. It will ask a lot of you. I lead with curiosity to help you embrace every part of you. We'll have tough conversations; you deserve to know mental healing. There is nothing “broken” about you. I uplift my clients to help and call in the power you already possess. My sessions are about conversation. I aim to get you thinking and leave you with ideas, skills, and a deeper understanding of who you are void of the roles you fill or the people you know. It is not uncommon for me to assign journal prompts, art prompts, videos/podcasts, for my clients to consider outside of session. You will leave a stronger sense of who you are, what you need, and how to obtain it. You will gain an understanding of how you view the world and make meaning of your experiences.
