Grant Hudson
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, but I identify as a psychotherapeutic artist, as I believe in approaching self, life, and work with creativity and a willingness to explore. I have a Master of Arts in Counseling, a decade of experience in social services, and another decade in psychotherapy private practice. Through it all I have strived to approach everyone I've served with the collaborative and open-minded spirit of an artist. I begin every relationship with the basic assumption that everyone I meet is trying to do what they feel is right. With that in mind, I seek to build trust and rapport with my clients from our first communication, and work to keep all conversations and exchanges as comfortable and natural as possible. While I find my curiosity of the my client's experience to be limitless, but in my desire to make the most use of my clients time, I work to keep everything we discuss relevant to our identified therapy goals. It is my goal for each and every session that my client leave with more clarity about what is presently troubling them and some relief from painful present emotions. While deep psychotherapy is certainly a long journey of multiple sessions that I enjoy traveling, I want my clients to find a tangible benefit to their current, present life each time we meet.
