Gregory Lyons
Mr. Lyons has 20 years of experience providing therapy and counseling to clients confronted with mental health and substance abuse issues. Greg has expertise in working with juvenile justice systems, youth services and has volunteered in recent years as a case manager for the guardian ad litem program for the state of Florida. He has extensive experience in clinical case management for managed behavioral health organizations. He authorized and reviewed utilization of mental health services and substance abuse treatment provided inpatient and outpatient specialized levels of care to ensure medical necessity and effectiveness. He provided telephone triage, crisis intervention, and emergency authorizations as assigned. He performed concurrent reviews for inpatient care and other levels of care as allowed by experience. Mr. Lyons is also trained In Critical Incident Stress Debriefing and has served on a Psychological First Aid Team responsible for providing brief therapy to victims and natural disasters and crises. As of 2016 he has complete 44 hrs of advance training in Relapse Prevention Therapy from the Center for Applied Science.
