Hannah Minter
I earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s in social work, becoming a licensed clinical social worker in 2017. I've provided mental health support to diverse populations, including homeless individuals and pediatric oncology patients and their families, through diagnosis, treatment, and, at times, bereavement. These experiences have deepened my ability to connect with people during vulnerable moments, leading me to pursue a full-time career in therapy. I'm eager to meet you where you are and understand the challenges you're facing. While many share common diagnoses like depression or anxiety, individual factors are crucial in developing a therapy plan. I carefully consider your background, experiences, physical well-being, motivations, and goals. By addressing these facets, we can create an individualized treatment plan that treats you as a whole person, not just your diagnosis. For therapy to be effective, the client-therapist relationship must be a partnership. In my practice, clients are the subject matter experts. My role is to help identify negative thought patterns or unhealthy emotions and provide compassionate support, resources, and skills to overcome them both in sessions and daily life. Honesty, empathy, and respect are the foundation of my practice, and I find a healthy dose of humor can help lessen the intensity of the work. .
