I have worked in the addiction field for six years. I have a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am currently in school to get a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision. I have mainly worked with adults both in inpatient and outpatient substance use programs. However, I also have experience working with depression, anxiety, family issues, and trauma/PTSD. I take an integrative approach to therapy and utilize characteristics of different theories. I tailor the treatment needs to the individual patient; I use psychodynamic, experiential/relationship-based, and cognitive behavioral approaches. I also incorporate narrative therapy and solution-focused therapy. I believe you are the pilot of your own life, and I am your copilot by helping you navigate the journey. The relationship between counselor and client is the most important relationship. I hope clients will leave sessions feeling heard, empowered, and motivated. I pride myself in providing a warm, safe environment for clients to explore whatever it is they are concerned or curious about.

Rather than make specific provider recommendations, we present options and information so you can make an informed decision on what provider best fits your needs. Where we have multiple participating providers, we present multiple options (and where we don't, we prioritize adding more options to our site over time). We present providers whose capabilities, insurance coverage, availability and other attributes best match your stated needs. If many providers appear to equally meet your needs, we display a selection of them at random. Our decision on which participating providers to display is never impacted by the amount of fees we receive from them.

What causes us to remove providers from our site?

We require that providers meet all licensing requirements of states where they offer services. If a provider loses their license, they are removed from our site for that state or service.
