I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with almost a decade of experience. Treatment goals depend on what YOUR goals are for therapy. I utilize different modalities based on your needs that may include a person centered approach, motivational interviewing, psychoanalytic, family systems etc. The first session or two may involve your history and reason for seeking counseling, from that we can treatment plan for your goals, so you may get the most out of your time with me. Mental health is often overlooked and when left unchecked it may wreak havoc on the physical body. It is so important to look at the whole person. Studies have shown being outside reduces feelings of depression and anxiety. Due to this finding, I also offer eco-therapy. You tell me what you are looking for and we can pick from a couple of options and figure out what works best for you. A treatment plan tailored to your goals will be implemented to help you get the most out of counseling. In addition to "talk" therapy, counseling in an outdoor setting may be suitable for your needs (an option, not required). This may include sitting at a park bench outside, short-walks at a park, to a more challenged setting like, hiking a trail.
