I specialize in individual counseling and relationship counseling. I base my therapeutic approach on the premise that, with assistance and guidance, clients have the ability to choose how to resolve their own problems and can make their own decisions toward improving their lives. I use humor and a common-sense approach to therapy. While counseling shouldn't always be comfortable all the time--else, you wouldn't need someone to challenge you--I do my best to put you at ease in the therapeutic environment. My goals are to improve your self-awareness and self-esteem, stabilize your mental health, and guide you in establishing individual independence. And to help you become more comfortable in your own skin, so you can create a happier, healthier future for yourself. I will challenge you to look at yourself and make changes where warranted, but also to love yourself for who you are.
