James has over 30 years of experience working with individuals during and after exceedingly difficult and often tragic situations, as a police officer, elected Sheriff, business owner, and pastor. He has special insight into working with: ‘First Responders’, Veterans, teachers, and medical professionals. Additionally those with grief, loss, and trauma. His degree is uniquely designed to prepare counselors for Christian service by emphasizing the integration of Christian theology and counseling theories to help clients navigate the challenges of life. “I am called to provide counseling that will help others to experience God’s love, grace, forgiveness, and healing. I rely on Jesus, the Bible, and faith to help in this process and use practical means such as counseling skills supported by Scripture. "My prayer is that each person discovers the unconditional love of God and with His help can find hope and healing for any problem they may bring. My hope is that each client is better after each session.".
