I have over eight years of experience as an addictions counselor and therapist in individual counseling and group settings. I'm licensed in MN and board certified in treating co-occurring disorders of mental health and addiction. My passion is helping people find freedom from addiction. I also have a big heart for older teens who are struggling. I have an integrated approach borrowing from several treatment modalities including CBT, ACT, and DBT and an overall collaborative and person-centered approach. Basically, I'll meet you where you're at and use an approach that has been evidenced-based, proven to create change and growth in your life. My clients tell me I offer unique insights and provide a warm and non-judgmental atmosphere for them. Sessions with me will usually be quite conversational as we explore past, present, and future versions of your best self!.

How do we determine which ones to display?

Rather than make specific provider recommendations, we present options and information so you can make an informed decision on what provider best fits your needs. Where we have multiple participating providers, we present multiple options (and where we don't, we prioritize adding more options to our site over time). We present providers whose capabilities, insurance coverage, availability and other attributes best match your stated needs. If many providers appear to equally meet your needs, we display a selection of them at random. Our decision on which participating providers to display is never impacted by the amount of fees we receive from them.

What causes us to remove providers from our site?

We require that providers meet all licensing requirements of states where they offer services. If a provider loses their license, they are removed from our site for that state or service. We also seek feedback from users on providers they find on our site. We investigate significant negative feedback and remove providers if we conclude that to be appropriate.
