Jeffrey Rich
The therapeutic process can help improve feelings towards ourself and others, functioning at work or with our families, receiving empathetic feedback, and finding feelings of peace in a tumultuous world. Through a trauma-focused and decolonization lens, we will explore internal thoughts, feelings, and behavior patterns, as well as externally how systems (capitalism, racism, sexism, education, justice, etc.) have shaped and impacted our lives, and practical solutions to finding balance. I offer therapy from a relational perspective as opposed to a medical model one. In other words, lets look at how we relate to ourselves, relationships, culture, family, place, and the world around us to better understand ourselves and our place in it. Additionally, we can explore somatic (i.e body) ways in which we can find healing and support. If you are having problems that you would like to talk through and receive support on, whether related to a recent issue, upcoming change, or a longstanding trauma, I would encourage you to reach out via phone or email for a free 15 min consultation to see if I would be the right fit to help you address the challenge and move forward in a healthy way.
