I believe my strength as a therapist is my ability to withhold judgment about anything my clients share with me. My goal is to be your advocate and to help you to the best of my abilities. I also believe that while I am warm and empathic, I am also willing to challenge you in ways that may be of benefit to you. I have 11 years of helping a highly diverse set of clientele, am trauma informed, and am passionate about empowering people to reach the life they deserve. Trauma informed care, with emphasis on evidence-based modalities. These may include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help decrease distress around upsetting or traumatic memories, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help identify thought patterns that may be hindering you, Acceptance and Committment Therapy (ACT) to help you move towards more meaning in life, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help you increase coping and mindfulness skills. We will work towards your individual goals, whether those include processing and decreasing distressing feelings and thoughts around difficult experiences, improving coping or communication skills, moving towards meaning, and/or increasing mindfulness. I hope my clients can achieve symptom reduction and that they feel more empowered when working with me. My primary goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space for you to discuss and explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
