I am a licensed professional counselor providing a safe environment to challenge yourself and to set and reach various therapy goals. I received my Bachelor's degree in psychology from Missouri State in 2006 and my Master's degree in Counseling and Guidance from University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2010. I have training in trauma treatment, crisis intervention, EMDR, CBT and couples counseling. I specialize in working with couples, adults, parents, and survivors of narcissistic abuse. My approach to therapy is eclectic and is tailored to meet each individual client's needs. I do tend to be solution-focused, wanting to help clients see positive change and reach treatment goals. I challenge clients to improve self-awareness and self-esteem, develop healthy communication skills, and set appropriate boundaries to protect their peace and well-being in a supportive but direct environment.

Do participating providers pay us?

To make our site free for consumers, Psych Hub receives fees from provider groups, networks, or individual providers to connect with potential clients who are a fit for their services. Some also purchase Psych Hub's educational content for practitioner training and client support. These fees enable us to operate our service, including screening and updating information on each provider.

How do we determine which ones to display?

Rather than make specific provider recommendations, we present options and information so you can make an informed decision on what provider best fits your needs. Where we have multiple participating providers, we present multiple options (and where we don't, we prioritize adding more options to our site over time). We present providers whose capabilities, insurance coverage, availability and other attributes best match your stated needs. If many providers appear to equally meet your needs, we display a selection of them at random. Our decision on which participating providers to display is never impacted by the amount of fees we receive from them.

What causes us to remove providers from our site?

We require that providers meet all licensing requirements of states where they offer services. If a provider loses their license, they are removed from our site for that state or service. We also seek feedback from users on providers they find on our site. We investigate significant negative feedback and remove providers if we conclude that to be appropriate.
