My name is Joe Calhoun, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Tampa, Florida, and working with clients state-wide via telehealth. I work with teenagers, and adults and specialize in treating addiction, anxiety, anger management, and relationship difficulties, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, REBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Therapy to help my clients meet their treatment goals. My approach is that I quickly build rapport with my clients by meeting them where they are and listening closely to understand them as unique individuals. This approach leads to a healthy and fulfilling therapeutic relationship where clients feel supported and equipped with the tools, they need to resolve their various life challenges and live a more fulfilling life. The care options presented consist of treatment providers that we have assessed to be quality providers across a range of services for mental health, substance use, relationships, and other well-being needs. To make our site free for consumers, providers on Psych Hub pay fees to connect with potential clients who are a fit for their services. How do we determine which ones to display?

Rather than make specific provider recommendations, we present options and information so you can make an informed decision on what provider best fits your needs. Where we have multiple participating providers, we present multiple options (and where we don't, we prioritize adding more options to our site over time). We present providers whose capabilities, insurance coverage, availability and other attributes best match your stated needs. If many providers appear to equally meet your needs, we display a selection of them at random. Our decision on which participating providers to display is never impacted by the amount of fees we receive from them.

What causes us to remove providers from our site?

We require that providers meet all licensing requirements of states where they offer services. If a provider loses their license, they are removed from our site for that state or service. We also seek feedback from users on providers they find on our site. We investigate significant negative feedback and remove providers if we conclude that to be appropriate.
