I am a compassionate therapist who believes in providing clients with effective, evidence-based treatment to help improve their quality of life. I utilize a variety of psychotherapy approaches to create an individualized treatment plan that is practical and tailored to each client’s needs. My style is warm, interactive, collaborative and comforting, with a primary focus on cultivating a trusting and open relationship with my clients. I personalize each clients treatment plan utilizing psychotherapy/CBT techniques such as mindfulness-based strategies, gaining deep insight, identifying and changing dysfunctional thought and behavior patterns, developing new coping and problem-solving skills. There is a heavy focus on collaboration, teaching clients to utilize & apply these skills in their everyday lives. My clinical areas of expertise include OCD, depression, trauma/post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and anxiety/panic disorders, with specialized experience in treating health or illness anxiety . I also help many clients with emotion regulation, anger/rage, impulse control, imposture syndrome, job dissatisfaction, chronic discontentment/boredom, family/relationship issues, complicated grief and toxic shame.
