I chose this field because I have a passion for alleviating human suffering. I specialize in depression, anxiety, and adjustment to major life transitions. Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Existential Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy are my primary treatment models. Knowing what moves and drives us can be liberating and the first step towards living the lives of which we are capable. There is no judgement here. Only an open exploration of thought and behavior patterns that may have led to a less than ideal quality of life. I endeavor to help clients find actions to take in between sessions to help them move towards their goals; things to read, exercises to try, mindfulness meditations or affirmations to use, specific coping methods to implement, social outlets to connect with, etc.
