I'm a trauma-informed and attachment-based psychotherapist who works with people to break cycles that create chronic stress in their relationships and other parts of their lives. My goal is to provide a non-judgmental and empathetic space that helps people better understand and accept themselves. I have extensive training in trauma, attachment relationships, and parenting. I'm trained in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an effective research-based intervention for treating a variety of concerns including PTSD, anxiety, depression, and addiction. I am experienced in other interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Strengths-Based Therapy, among others, and we will work together to find the best approach for you. In our work together, you'll develop awareness of patterns of thoughts and behaviors that hold you back from living your life in peace. Once we've unlocked what's holding you back, you'll feel more empowered and peaceful. You don't have to spend the rest of your life feeling stuck with the hand life dealt you... and it's okay to joke about it. There's room for a little humor in our sessions, if you want it.
