Julia Kuttler
It is one of my core beliefs that every person is the expert on their own life and experiences. As a therapist, I aim to be a witness to your journey and a source of feedback, clarity, and support. Through evidence-based techniques and compassionate guidance, I help clients develop coping skills, improve self-awareness, and cultivate resilience. I have a background in schools and special education, a Bachelors degree in Psychology and Master of Social Work with a concentration in Mental Health. I am an LGBTQIA+ and neurodiversity-affirming therapist. I have extensive training and experience working with all kinds of disabilities & within the Gifted and Talented (GT) community, including the overlap of these labels, commonly known as Twice Exceptional or 2E. I also specialize in working with those impacted by mood disorders, depression & anxiety, self-harm behaviors & self-injury, suicidal ideation, & trauma. I believe in honoring the unique strengths and perspectives while facilitating healing and personal growth. I aim to assist clients in discovering the path they’d like to take towards a future they want to build. I am also proud to work with a canine partner, Dottie Lou, to offer animal-assisted therapy for those who are interested ("opt-in"). Registered therapy animals such as Dottie are able to help clients to feel more at ease, bring comfort, and can add joy and humor to sessions.
