Kalena Lanuza
Aloha mai kākou! My name is Kalena Kaopuuokalani Lanuza and I am a doctorally prepared, Native Hawaiian Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I am also a Certified Lactation Counselor and have extensive experience helping women with their emotional wellness during pregnancy, postpartum & menopause. I offer medication management, brief psychotherapy and lactation counseling using a tele health platform. I do not provide stand-alone therapy. I use an integrative approach to care and partner with you to provide a comprehensive and holistic treatment plan based on your current symptoms, additional medical history as well as your cultural and spiritual beliefs. I use a Shared Decision Making model which recognizes that you are the expert regarding your health and together we come up with the best path forward. To read more about my approach please visit: https://manamentalhealth.com/ As an Indigenous provider, I work to bring the wisdom of my kūpuna (ancestors/ elders) with me into relationship with the people that I serve and try to use the Native Hawaiian concepts of aloha (love), ha'aha'a (humility), kokua (to help) and lokahi (harmony) to inform my work. You will leave our sessions feeling heard, validated and empowered to make the best choice possible to help you heal through this time period.
