I have been working with individuals of different ages for over 20 years. My experience includes helping individuals and families during different stages of their lives, overcome physical, mental as well daily issues to improve quality of their lives by gaining insight and improving communication. I graduated from Hunter College School of Social Work, received BA in psychology from Hunter College and trained at Ackerman Institute for the Family. I believe that each client is unique so Is the solution they may need. I understand that therapy is hard work and everyone has different expectations when they first start. Seeing individual as a whole and what shapes them is very important. Self locating is one of the most important steps in therapy. It can help us understand how our gender, culture, family of origin and many other factors play into how we see ourselves, our family members and the world in general. My goal is to meet my clients where they are currently. Have you noticed that the people closest to us are also the ones with whom we have some of our greatest conflicts? For families and couples the goal is to facilitate meaningful communication one that promotes introspection and generates insight into people's relationships. Often, families fall into the same pattern, feel misunderstood by each other, but once they improve their communication, the bond improves tremendously.
