I attended Columbia University School of Social Work and have been a social worker for over 26 years. My focus is clinical practice, and I use a variety of clinical approaches when working with the challenges associated with trauma and emotional distress, such as depression and anxiety, along with everyday struggles experienced by clients. I am a superb listener and show great compassion toward your struggles. My modality focus is a combination of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, IFS, EMDR, and Solution-Focused Therapy. We start with an assessment so that I can get to know you, and then we will develop treatment goals for your choosing to have a focus. We will then work on various clinical interventions that apply to your situation. Our first session will focus on learning about you and the direction to go with therapy. I have had clients as short as eight sessions and some for several years. Though treatment does not guarantee success, I have had many successful outcomes with clients like you, where they have learned many coping skills and gained insight into their thinking, feelings, behaviors, and shifts in their perspective of everyday life. I have had clients recover from trauma, allowing them to lead healthy lives.
