Kiara Owens
Welcome to all! I am a marriage and family therapist licensed in the State of Minnesota I provide services to individuals (14YO+), couples, and families. I specialize in trauma, relationship issues, and self/cultural identity and exploration. I help patients gain more understanding of themselves, their past, and improving their interpersonal relationships. My approach to therapy is integrative, collaborative, validating, and anti-oppressive. As a systemic therapist I focus heavily on the relational aspect of therapy, meaning that I focus on the patient and therapist relationship. I meet each patient where they are and provide unique treatment to assist them in achieving their desired goals. Patients can expect to gain understanding about themselves and how past experiences can be impacting them today. I hope that each patient can gain more understanding and acceptance of themselves. I aim for patients to feel more confident in themselves, in who they are, and what they want from life/their relationships. Patients can expect to leave sessions feeling, heard, seen, and valued.
