My approach is being in the exact moment you are in, providing tools to help you while I gently challenge you to face the emotions that are scary to be in. It is imperative that the client be an active member in goal setting. After reviewing the presenting problem(s), I will present potential goals and discuss/determine the best goal for the client to meet his or her needs.
